In the summer of 2011, FC Krauchenwies, the director’s local soccer club, celebrated its 100th birthday. A highlight of the celebrations was the match between the old-man’s teams of FC Krauchenwies and VfB Stuttgart. The film not only relays amusing anecdotes from the club’s long history, told on the sidelines in a video fan box, but also offers a look behind the scenes of soccer, which as a social institution is an integral part of village life.
